The curriculum of the Medical University of Lodz offers an extensive and varied medical education, making it an ideal destination for budding medical professionals like yourself. From foundational theoretical knowledge to hands-on clinical experience, you'll graduate ready to make a difference in the world of healthcare.
- Year 1: Your academic voyage begins with an understanding of the basics of medical science. This includes subjects such as Biophysics, Biostatistics, Gross Anatomy, Neuroscience, and Medicinal Chemistry. You'll also learn practical skills like First Aid and Elements of Nursing.
- Year 2: As you progress into the second year, your focus will shift more towards understanding the human body at a cellular level. You'll delve into Biochemistry, Histology, Cell Biology, and Physiology. Moreover, you'll study how diseases spread and are controlled through subjects like Public Health, Hygiene, and Epidemiology.
- Year 3: Your third year presents an exciting transition to pre-clinical studies, where you'll learn to apply theoretical knowledge to clinical practice. You'll explore subjects like Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Patient-Doctor Interactions. You'll also be introduced to different systems of the human body, such as the Cardiovascular System, Nervous System, and Gastrointestinal System.
- Year 4: This is where your exposure to clinical medicine starts to ramp up. You'll get hands-on experience with internal medicine and pediatrics. Specialty topics like Cardiology, Diabetology, and Hematology are explored. Additionally, you'll study the fundamentals of Family Medicine and Dermatology.
- Year 5: In the fifth year, your curriculum becomes more specialised. You'll study complex areas like Neurology, Psychiatry, and Ophthalmology. Furthermore, you'll learn about different aspects of surgery, including Cardiosurgery, Endocrine Surgery, and Transplant Surgery. A key focus will be on Obstetrics & Gynecology, preparing you for your summer training in these areas.
- Year 6: Your final year is a rigorous culmination of your medical training. You'll rotate through key areas including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Surgery. You'll also get a taste of what it's like to work in high-pressure areas like Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry. Your medical school journey ends with the freedom to choose an elective specialty to delve into further.

Now, you're a step closer to joining the prestigious Medical University Lodz. Secure your spot for the entrance exam by clicking the “entrance exam” button, choosing the date and time that best suits you. Look out for a confirmation email with additional details on the examination. The final steps to secure your admission at the Medical University Lodz involves passing the entrance exam and payment of the application fee. An official Letter of Acceptance confirms your acceptance to study medicine at MU Lodz. The application deadline is July 31, so be sure to start your application early.

The Medical University of Lodz entrance exam is an integral part of the admission process, designed to assess your motivation, potential for professional behavior, socio-medical subject understanding, and proficiency inIt comprises general questions and a set of specific questions - 4 each from 2 out of the 4 listed subjects.
